Compassion first
See the person and the family, with dignity, kindness, and respect.
Our mission
To bring happiness, comfort, hope, and practical assistance to children experiencing serious illnesses and their families, particularly those facing financial hardship.
Why this matters
A favorite story. A soft bear to hold. Somewhere comfortable to sleep nearby. Ordinary comforts can take on extraordinary meaning when a child is seriously ill.
We are developing programs that recognize both the child and the family around them. Our purpose is to make room for joy while helping ease some of the practical strain that can accompany treatment.
This initiative is being established in Maine. Program eligibility, geographic reach, and assistance processes will be published before any program opens.
